Systems Integration Engineer


Primary Responsibilities

  • Provides onsite installation and validation of network systems equipment
  • Studies schematics, manuals and other specifications to determine installation procedures
  • Mechanically designs and builds network systems
  • Installs, maintains and supports LAN, WAN and VOIP infrastructures
  • Develops and conducts testing plans and documents procedures
  • Tests inoperability of systems, measures transmission/outputs, troubleshoots and resolves issues
  • Researches, evaluates and recommends systems, equipment and technologies
  • Performs preventive and fault isolation maintenance on existing data center infrastructure
  • Provides technical support to external customers at their location
  • Conducts onsite troubleshooting, service, repairs and training
  • Provides customers with post-installation and integration support
  • Participates in special projects as required

  • Wired and wireless networks
  • Security and VPN solutions
  • Cisco technologies
  • Liebert data center power management system
  • Cable management and installation – CAT5/CAT6 and fiber
  • Radio frequency communication systems and installation

Required Education and Experience

 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 6+ years of experience in network systems installation and radio frequency communication systems
  • Must be detail oriented, and possess excellent analytic and problem solving skills
  • Capable of lifting and moving computer equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work effectively in a small team environment with strict deadlines
  • Self-starter with ability to accomplish tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and/or weekends as job duties demand
