Senior Operations Analyst


Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for vendor management, and maintaining relationships with key suppliers
  • Establishes and negotiates contract terms and conditions
  • Reviews prices and product specifications from various suppliers
  • Determines if materials being procured meet specified technical requirements
  • Processes purchase requisitions/orders within purchasing authority
  • Prepares and maintains purchasing records and reports
  • Tracks deliveries, reconciles order discrepancies, and picks up equipment from vendors/stores as necessary
  • Responsible for inventory management including shipping/receiving, database, inventory control
  • Maintains corporate dashboard, and generates reports as necessary
  • Assists in maintaining project/program metrics and tracking deliverables/schedules as needed
  • Sources and purchases technical equipment and supplies in an information systems & operations environment
  • Ensures that supply of products meets technical, financial and operational specifications
  • Works with internal and external stakeholders to determine procurement needs and delivery requirements
  • Provides general facilities support including oversight of cleaning service and maintenance agreements
  • Reviews and processes vendor invoices for utilities and communications
  • Processes, crosschecks and tracks purchases, credit card transactions, expense reports and petty cash
  • Participates in special projects as requested

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of information technology systems in a data center environment
  • Basic understanding of networking environment and ability to understand network block diagrams
  • MS Windows proficiency
  • MS Office suite proficiency
  • Working knowledge of Visio

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in procurement required; purchasing experience with IT products preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in business/financial operations
  • Working knowledge of inventory/logistics tracking system strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated effective analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented, with demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work effectively in a small team environment with minimal supervision
  • Self-starter with ability to learn quickly and accomplish tasks on time, working within strict deadlines
  • Capable of lifting equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to use a forklift periodically.  (Training would be provided).
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and/or weekends as needed

Clearance: Active TS/SCI highly desired but not required.
